This Quarantine has got everyone looking at their budget. This insane time has left 2020 with many who are jobless, living off what little savings they had. As a teacher and mom/ homeschool teacher right now I have many many different jobs.
Many of my titles in this hard, never ending job are:

- Financial planner
- life coach
- teacher
- chef
- coach
- housekeeper
- butler -lol
- shuttle bus driver
- hair stylist
- Laundromat -does your husband ever wonder how his clothes just appear in his drawer??
- dishwasher- I came home from being out of town for 2 weeks and the hubby had used Palmolive pot scrubber liquid soap in the dishwasher…we had bubble coming out everywhere, lol. I laughed so hard.
- seamstress
- personal shopper
- hmmmmm- Insert your own here!! There are many more.
I love that these are the most wide array of jobs that anyone would find on a resume and we do them all as parents.
I would love to discuss financial planner today!
I am a great financial planner, i took our overhead down at least $250 a month just by checking out these things.
Check your cable bill: or cancel cable all together:
If you have a large company like Cox Cable then you know they bundle their packages. Many times people do this because they think it is the best deal. In all reality it is not your best deal. You can do much better if you check out all those adds you receive in your mail box for satellite. I switched from cable to satellite and saved us $100 bucks a month. Now, we all know you can cancel cable or satellite and go with just Netflix, hulu, or Amazon Prime. If you have to have TV, you can even go with Youtube Live, Hulu live, and ETC.
Cancel the home phone:
Who even need that now? Not me, I will tell you when my babies were little I had a VOIP provider like OOMA so the babysitter had a phone, just in case their phone did not work, or etc.
Check you ISP(Internet Service Provider):
Again if you have this bundled you may be losing money, so check out all those deals. I have been round and round with Cox, ATT, and more. Cox loves to raise their prices but will lower them if you call. ATT has some good deals with bundles for Cell phones too. Just check and see what you are paying. If you must have WIFI check around. Most of us have gmail accounts so there is no…I don’t want my email to change, lol…I am aging myself here.
Cell Phones:
Don’t always stick with your same cell provider, you can get a great deal leaving your old provider. You can bring your phone or wait for a deal like buy 1 get one free or half off. Remember: Each Cell provider has some great freebies.
AT&T offers free HBO with both of its unlimited-data plans, “Unlimited Plus Enhanced”
T-Mobile offers free Netflix with their plans.
Sprint includes Hulu’s Limited Commercials streaming service.
Verizon offer its customers a free year of Disney’s streaming service, Disney Plus.
There are always deal but READ THE FINE PRINT!!
The Rules:
Ask questions
if there is a contract know when the amount will go up and or if it will be raised. You could sign up for super fast internet for a year for $39 and then realize the price is jacked up to $65 after the first year and you have a 2 year obligation!! Like Sprint or some other companies out there.
Do you shopping diligently and take your time.
Check what you pay now and see if there is a way to slim down the bill. I called Direct tv once to see if I could downgrade and they lowered my rate $10 a month for me just for calling!!
Call to negotiate
Check you bills– Don’t be overcharged for something you don’t need or use or ???
Don’t forget to cancel services you don’t need anymore like hulu if you don’t use it or a free trial of HBO or Stars.
Put those cancelation dates in your calendars.
Lastly, Conserve energy, turn off those lights, unplug all those extra electronics, check your house for water leaks, call the utility company and ask for a discount also, there are many low income programs out there too.
Hope this helps you out i the hard days!!
